Dance is Music is maintained by a dancer and dance researcher from the state of Michigan. In addition to ethnography and embodied practice of many world percussive dance traditions, his present research seeks to interrogate colluding issues of sexual identity and cultural nationalism in the realms of traditional music and dance. He enjoys reading work on performance studies, post-colonialist thought, and Queer theory.
